The Essential Details
Date and Location:
Please join us on December 29th, 2018 at Liberty Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation located at 2600 E. Elwood St. in Phoenix, Arizona.
Accommodations for out of town guests:
We have booked rooms at the Legacy Golf Resort at an extremely discounted rate. We encourage all out of town guests to join us there as we will be hosting additional events at this location. There will also be shuttles arranged to transport people to and from the wedding venue. Please see the Accommodations & Activities page for more information.
Attire:
Desert chic – This will be an outdoor Arizona winter wedding so semi-formal dress with a sensible shoe will best suit you to have a great time in this desert landscape. The average highs for Phoenix in December are 67 °F (peak ~4 pm) while average lows are 45 °F (trough ~4 am). If we expect it to be on the colder side, we will have outdoor space heaters to warm you up. We recommend bringing a jacket or light wrap, just in case.

Ceremony:
The ceremony will be held under the awning and will start promptly at 3:30 pm, so please plan on arriving a bit early to find your seat. Upon your arrival, please come through the main entrance. The awning will be through the breezeway, outside and to your left.
- Please be sure to turn off and put away your phones during the ceremony. We have two fabulous photographers, Ben and Kelly, who will capture the event for us. We also have some exciting surprises planned that we don’t want you to miss!!
Happy Hour:
We will have an open bar for happy hour from 4 to 5:30 pm. Catch up with family and friends or get to know folks that are now part of our expanded family under the gorgeous setting sun. Arizona is renowned for it’s vibrant sunsets, so enjoy those beautiful red, orange, yellow, purples and blues!
Liberty Wildlife is dedicated to rehabilitating and releasing as many native Arizona animals and birds as they can, however those that are non-releasable are cared for and some even become Education Ambassadors. Please wander the Education Trail and meet some of the hawks, owls, and eagles face to face!
- Please feel free to take photos with your own phones and cameras, but also consider flagging down Ben or Kelly to take a beautiful photo that you’ll treasure forever!
Dinner:
After you find your seats next to the pond, a delicious Mexican food buffet dinner will be served. We’ll let you know when it’s your table’s turn to go fill your plates. For those in the know, Carolina’s can’t be beat! If you have special dietary needs, please be sure to let us know in your RSVP so that we can accommodate you.
Dancing:
Once you’ve had your fill, join us on the dance floor under the awning where our very talented DJ, Dave from Desert House Productions, will play the best tunes. Last call at the open bar will be at 10 pm and the music will stop at 10:30 pm. The birds do need their beauty sleep, after all! But that doesn’t mean the party is over!
After Party:
For those that want to keep the party going, please join us at the Legacy Golf Resort Trail’s End Bar & Grill located at 6808 S. 32nd Street for some late night snacks and additional revelry. The place will be exclusively ours and there will be a cash bar open until 2 am.
Post Wedding Brunch:
There just never seems to be enough time to see everyone on the day of the wedding so we invite you to come to the Legacy Golf Resort on December 30th, 2018 and mingle by the heated pool. We’ll have a few rooms at the resort that will have breakfast and brunch snacks for you to munch on, so come by around 10 am or so and share stories and photos from the wedding. If you would like something more substantial to eat, there is a full restaurant at the resort that you can enjoy!
